Questions
What if I'm missing required skills for my target role?
Learn the top 3 missing required skills first, through a course or a small project. If you already know a close technology, list that on your resume.
How accurate is the skills detection?
It looks for explicit skill names and common aliases in your resume text, for 9 engineering roles. It checks hard skills, tools and technologies, not seniority or soft skills.
What's a good match percentage?
80 to 100 is a strong match, so apply. 60 to 79 is decent, so work the missing required skills into your resume if you have them. Below 60 means significant gaps.
How is the match score calculated?
Match score = (required and important skills found) / (required and important skills for the role) x 100. Bonus skills do not change the score.
Can I use this when changing roles?
Yes. Run the same resume against different target roles and compare the gaps to decide what to learn first.
